Round 2 Statewide Super Women’s League Weekend Wash-up



North Adelaide held Glenelg at bay to claim a nail-biting five-point win at Hisense Stadium on Saturday.

Coming off a convincing Round 1 win against South, the Roosters seemingly had the game in hand when young star Hannah Ewings gave them a 14-point lead five minutes into the final term.

Despite trailing at every change, the Bays fought hard during the final term to register the next four consecutive scoring shots, including a goal on the run to Lucy Armitage in the 15th minute.

But the reigning premier did enough to hold on to the premiership points as speedy Erica Greet led the way with 19 disposals and six tackles while Kate Case, Talia Radan and Tayla Thorn each had 15.
